Kilimanjaro National Park Entry Fees and Guidelines

Entry Fees for Non-Residents
– Peak Season (July to December): Non-resident adults are required to pay USD 200 per day, while children and students incur a fee of USD 50 per day. – Low Season (January to June): Non-resident adults are charged USD 100 per day, with children and students maintaining a fee of USD 50 per day.
Entry Fees for Residents and Tanzanian Citizens
– Peak Season: Residents and Tanzanian citizens are charged TZS 100,000 for adults and TZS 30,000 for children/students. – Low Season: Resident adults pay TZS 70,000, while children/students are charged TZS 20,000.
Camping Fees
Camping fees at Kilimanjaro National Park vary depending on residency status and the chosen campsite (public or private). Notably, private campsites necessitate a booking fee of TZS 50,000.
Vehicle and Other Fees
– Vehicle Entry: Charges for vehicle entry into Kilimanjaro National Park are determined by the seating capacity, ranging from TZS 20,000 for vehicles with fewer than 6 seats to TZS 300,000 for vehicles with 45 seats and above. – Ranger Fees: Game drives exceeding 6 hours incur a fee of TZS 50,000, while shorter drives and overnight camp security have separate charges.
Payment Modes
Visitors to Kilimanjaro National Park can settle their entrance fees in cash (US Dollars or Tanzanian Shillings) at the designated entry points. However, for specific areas within the park, such as the Marangu Gate, cashless payments are mandatory, accepting Visa/Mastercard or mobile money services like Mpesa.
